Emmetts Bridges and Walkways

The Emmetts team have been actively engaged in all types of bridge structures over all forms or waterways, road carriageways, suspended walkway structures, steel-frame and timber-deck pedestrian / cycle bridges (Waikanae Wetlands / Ohakune Foot and Cycle Bridge / Whakahora Track Bridge), suspension bridges (Owhahanga Station Bridge), post-tensioned Cable-stay bridges (New Plymouth Water Augmentation Scheme), Network Arch Bridges (Perry Bridge, Horotiu / Mangawara Stream Bridge, Taupiri / Upokongaro Cycleway Bridge, Whanganui River / Mangaweka Bridge Replacement), Bridges either over or in conjunction with the Rail Corridor (Ruapehu Rd Overbridge, Ohakune / Mangaparo Rail Overbridge / Longburn Overbridge Strengthening ) to name a few.

A significant proportion of these projects also involved demolition and removal of existing structures both over water, roadways and the rail corridor for all of the current Rail overpass bridge replacements.

Many of these projects have been design-build contracts or have involved high-level engineered temporary works and access design and construction with Emmetts having successfully engaging with a number of notable Structural Engineering Consultant Companies such as: Holmes Consulting (Ian Hills/Phil Gaby) / Novare Consultants – (Matt Spooner/ Don Smith), BPL Group – (Ian Johnson, Stuart Macintosh, Josh Smith), Create (Bryan Greig), Beca, Calibre, WSP and Redpath Consultants.
