All persons visiting an Emmetts Civil Construction worksite must complete a Visitor Workplace Induction prior to visiting a live worksite. Visitors to site must sign into the site as per company procedures and obey the instructions of Emmetts Civil Construction Site Supervisors and Employees at all times.

Visitor Workplace Rules

The following rules have been prepared to inform visitors about accepted visitor practices. This is not an exclusive list, only a guide. They are:

1. Visitors must follow Site Sign In procedures before entering the worksite.

2. Wear and use the correct PPE at all times.

3. Wear steel capped safety footwear at all times.

4. Comply with all safety notices and warning signs.

5. Do not enter taped off / restricted areas without prior permission.

6. Treat all cables and wires as live until determined otherwise.

7. Tidy up your area and keep surroundings tidy at all times.

8. Dispose of waste in bins provided.

9. Wear seat belts at all times when driving vehicles. This also applies to passengers.

10. Attend and participate in Toolbox and Health and Safety meetings if instructed to do so.

11. Observe proper hygiene.

12. No smoking or vaping outside of designated areas.

13. Look after yourself and others to ensure everyone's safety.

14. Do not approach any machinery, plant or crane unless the driver or dogman expressly indicates to you that he has seen you and it is safe to do so.

Alcohol or Other Drug Use in the Workplace

Alcohol or other drug use is not permitted on any Emmetts Civil Construction worksite inline with the company's obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

Any visitor that is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or other drugs will be refused entry to the worksite.

Emmetts Yard

• Access to site is permitted to working staff only.
• No general public, sales representatives, media or any uninvited or not-inducted visitors are allowed into ANY ECCL sites, workshops or offices during NZ Government Levels 2, 3 or 4 Alert lockdowns.
• Sign in / out and COVID-19 protocols must be followed at all times.

Upokongaro Bridge Site

• Access to site is permitted to working staff only.
• No general public, sales representatives, media or any uninvited or not-inducted visitors are allowed into ANY ECCL sites, workshops or offices during NZ Government Levels 2, 3 or 4 Alert lockdowns.
• Sign in / out and COVID-19 protocols must be followed at all times.

Submission

You must submit your declaration below to be inducted as a visitor to an Emmetts Civil Construction worksite.

Please note that upon submission you will be directed to the dedicated COVID-19 Induction that must also be completed before you enter.
